Atmospheric Railway Refurbishment

The Atmospheric Railway Inn at Starcross reopened earlier this month following an extensive refurbishment. In January we are planning to finish the project with a refurbishment of the pub exterior.

Aimie Harley has taken on the tenancy and together we have refreshed the bar area, creating more space for customers and a much more welcoming environment. An experienced chef, Aimie has introduced a menu focused on fresh, homemade meals including traditional classics such as beer battered fish and chips, homemade cottage pie, fish chowder and much more.

We have taken care to maintain the pub’s traditional feel and all items of local and historical interest have been retained (the parrot has gone but the warning sign remains – just in case!).

There are now eight Westcountry ales and ciders on tap, complemented by a range of quality wines, spirits and soft drinks including delicious juices produced in Devon.

The pub sits opposite its own car park, the Exe Estuary walking/cycle trail and Starcross train station – most definitely a pub worth stopping for.
