The Jolly Sailor

On Friday 23 April a fire destroyed much of our beautiful pub, The Jolly Sailor in East Ogwell. We are devastated to lose this historic house but at the same time thankful and relieved that our longstanding tenants at the pub, John and Amanda, are both safe and well and that no one else was injured during the events of Friday evening.

We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to the many firefighters from the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service from all parts of the region who attended the blaze throughout the evening and night. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those who have taken the time to contact us with messages of both concern and support.
